"I can't even begin to express how much awe I experience about you. You inspire excitement and smiles (and a little jealousy) from everyone when you simply walk in a room. Your outward beauty is just that arresting! You handle yourself with consummate grace and style, while also laughing with the best of them, keeping the correct perspective wherever and with whomever you are. I personally well know of your inner radiance, of your spiritual and heart connection that grounds you, allowing you to soar without fear of falling.
You know what to say, you know how to be tough, be tender, be alluring, and be open without fear. You cry, you laugh, you perfectly emote because you're just so darned real. Then there's the generosity... you give what you have in everything. That includes love, emotion, friendship and, importantly, your time. How do you do it? Like I say, I'm in awe.
Yes, I have no trouble stating the obvious (to me) of what makes you the undeniably and amazingly beautiful person you are. And there are legions who would agree with most everything I've written. So it's not difficult to understand why I love you so much.
You a knowing friend who can read situations flawlessly. And your ability to call people on their misdeeds is a velvet hammer with a very light touch. Not that this happens often.
So if you start looking at these peerless qualities through the filter of man's desire, it's no wonder many try so hard to be in your circle, around you as much as possible.
It's also the reason why I think you deserve the best man in the world for you. Someone kind, and overly handsome, and open, and communicative, and generous, and punctual, and who remembers to demonstrate his love for you at every turn. Someone who opens your heart and his own to make each other One. I want happiness unending for you, with laughing and real emotions and hugs that last until you both melt.
He's out there. And I wish it could be me, but I'm not all those things, and I'm merely a stand in until he appears. But oh what a amazingly fortunate man I am in that brief moment. I stand with the best of them who have felt love binding souls. I feel the joy of those who have seen the mountaintop of emotion. Because of you.
So though I understand it was only our moment, I am blessed to have had it, much less simply imagined it. I'm forever gifted with the memories of times we've done everything from cry at the Concours to drive to San Jose for spiritual guidance at a Janet Bray meeting to hug in the driveway. I know part of you doesn't understand how anyone could live up to my descriptions, but you do. Partly because of your humility, and partly because you've seen some very black days, you may feel I'm merely dazzled by my descriptions of you. But no, it's true. Because of you.
I relish my role as an interloper, waiting with you for that man to arrive. But arrive he will, and I'll be almost as excited as you. He'll be the setting that showcases the diamond that you are. And I'll get to watch and applaud genuinely.
